Turkey: Not to be confused with Thanks Giving, Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate with a succulent bird. Turkey holidays involve traveling to a very unique country perched between the Middle East and Europe. Turks are renowned for their lavish hospitality and the food. When to visit:

The best time for Turkey holidays is spring-fall, peak season is from July-mid September. Anticipate near perfect weather on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts and Istanbul as well. To avoid mosquitoes, travel before mid-June and after August. In the summer, central Anatolia will be pleasantly cool, refrain from traveling to eastern Turkey between mid October-May unless you’re looking for snow, try the latter part of June-September. Another time to avoid Turkey, if you’re not a crowd person is during their most popular public holiday Kurban Bayrami. This 4 day event can last for one week or more, scheduled from December 7th to the 11th, travelers should plan to depart no later than the 5th.

Turkish Weather:

Before you take a Turkey holiday, get the scoop on the weather. As mentioned, near perfect weather on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, with mild winters, scattered showers, hot and dry during the summer. Istanbul sees average summer temps of 28-30°C (82-86°F) winters are cool, usually above freezing with moderate rain and the occasional snow. The Black Sea coast gets rainfall year round, with mild summer temperatures and relatively cool winter temperatures. In the Anatolian plateau, you’ll find it quite warm in the summer and very cold in the winter, travel further east into the mountainous region to get a more wintry feel. The southeast is the more predominant hot spot, with temperatures escalating above 45° C (113° F) in the summer to dry and mild during the winter season.
